I think I’ve said this before, but it’s worth saying again. God is the one who decided how absolutely everything would work. He’s the one who decided to make the universe, the planet, animals, and humans, and the laws that govern it all. The only reason we know and understand any of these laws is because He allows us to. And the only reason the creator gave us promises of a future filled with hope and love is because He decided to make those promises to us, and then give them to us as a gift that we could never earn.
He didn’t have to do any of these things, there was no other God beside Him giving Him council. He simply did it because it was His heart’s desire.
It’s strange to me how as Christians we think that God had forgotten His promises and that we need to remind Him of what He said. Or we start to think that we can leverage His promises against Him to get what we deserve. Remember, God made everyone of His promises for one reason, He LOVES you and I. 1 John 4:8 tells is that God is love, and all that He does is based on that one fact. Make no mistake though, love does not make God weak, nor does He keep His promises because He has to. God does all things for one reason only, because He loves you and I.
